N.W.M.A.T 3rd open day 16.9.2012

North Wales Miners Association Trust had its third annual open day which also included a few small trips up to the top of the spoil heap.  I for one never miss this opportunity as I love the spectacular views from the top.

A close-up image of the headgear in Bersham Enterprise Centre.

This is Margaret the secretary who despite having pain with a bad back still came to show her support.

This table is full of old mining artifacts that were bound to be reminiscent for some ex-miners.

Dennis (in the red tie) catches up with NWMAT.

John demonstrates some apparatus to a member of the public.

Here is John showing the others a short film on his lap-top.

In this picture the background shows one of the small lifts and in the front is the winding wheel.

Here Dennis reminiscences with a fellow miner while looking at the board about Bersham's history.

Frank (in the cap) catches up with Keith 'tattoo'.

All the boys together!

Here Margaret shares a joke as she hands out home made cakes kindly made by Dennis.

Remnants of one of the old carts used.

I took this image because I was drawn to the angle and the decay.

John's display of Point of Ayr Colliery

Here we find the boys having to hold the marquee down due to light winds taking it away.

These large bolts are inside the winding wheel.

This large bolt is also a part of the winding wheel.
