Places I visited in the Easter holidays 2011

                                                                The Plassey

A dovecote by the carved tree.

The contrast between the backdrop of the blue sky and the colours in  the foreground I really like.

The above photo was taken looking through a hole in the tree through to an another. This happened to line up and made an exit which let the light through. This was an opportunity to see inside the live tree.

A view of the drive up to The Plassey.

                                                           A frame within a frame!

A day out to Caernarfon with rest stops on the way back.

A reflection of boats in the estuary.

A close up of anchor  chain.

Boats in the marina.

A boat stuck in the mud!

I thought this would also be effective in B&W.

I wanted to capture the colours.

                                                                 LLanberis

I couldn't hear anyone shouting HELP!!

A view better on a clearer day!

I wanted to experiment with the composition of the shot by having the boat off centre.

Betws y coed

I always like this view of the church and the trees.

I like to take shots of trees like this, it emphasises the scale and height.

The Trevor Basin and the River Dee.

A testament to Thomas Telford

I wanted to capture the fast-flowing curve in the gully.

A blurred picture but I like it with the effect created by using the F14 aperture setting.

                                                               A human landscape!

And another?

I tried to capture the reflection.

The emphasis is on the reflection with this photo.

A King George postbox at Whittington.

                                                                    Candy Wood, Oswestry

This was an effect I wanted to try out - I call it "warped" speed!

                                                                           And this one!!
