Llangollen Camera Club walk in Acton park - 21.10.2016

The Llangollen Camera club was kindly invited to an afternoon tea and an Autumn walk around Acton Park by one of our members Ann. It was a lovely sunny day with bright blue skies. An ideal camera day out.
Acton Park is 64 acres that is left today of Acton Hall, many of the parks features have remained. The lake is popular with the local fisherman and there are many networks of paths to explore.

I like the tranquility this image shows with the bench.

I sometimes find it hard to photograph what the eye sees, the beautiful colours of  Autumn.

On this image I liked how the shadows formed what looked like a head to create the image of a mans torso holding there arms out stretched.

I loved the sunlight coming through the tree onto the bark.

The yellow of the leaves complements the blue sky.

This image looked better with the eye than I photographed.

For this image I was trying to show the beauty of the dew drops with the sun glistering on them.

For some unknown reason this images reminded me of a leg bone.

Many thanks to Ann for the clubs invite and for the lovely afternoon tea that was provided. We all had a great afternoon.

Plas Newydd gardens Llangollen - 2.10.2016

I had promised to take my niece for a photography day out. After much thought I had decided on Llangollen as there is much to see and photograph. Amy didn't mind where we went as long as we were taking photos. I guess I didn't mind too much either as it was lovely to have my niece with me all afternoon.

I couldn't decide between the two so I put both up.

The above images are the views from just outside the entrance to Plas Newydd.

These were lovely to see, such a great show of yellow as we walked down the drive.

I couldn't resist taking these images as a sign to show Autumn

There are so many trees with great patterns on them.

For this image I was trying to show the sun shining on the dew of the leaves.

There is a small brook in the lower part of the grounds that make for great images. It feels almost magical as if  faeries live there.

This is one of my favorite images, they remind me of old stepping stones.

I was trying to show the golden carpet of leaves and caught the sun shinning through.

After lunch we took a walk up to the canal for an ice cream although in October it was a lovely sunny day.

Hot Air Balloon Festival Llangollen - 16.9.2016

I had been looking forward to this event for a long time as it hasn't been held in Llangollen for a few years, with munchies packed and camera in hand I was ready for the day. I was also lucky enough to spend a few hours with my cousin and her partner before they went home. The falconry display and show was excellent I spent ages photographing the birds.

In the middle arena stunts were also performed

Llangllen's Mayor and Mayoress visited the event

Parachuting out of a hot air balloon was spectacular to watch

Many great colorful balloons to see

I like to photograph the pavilion because of the metal structure on it.
