Fairy Glen 17.06.2017

It had been many years since I had been to Fairy Glen and thought it was time to go back for a visit. On this outing my mother came and my friend Suzanne, we had made a packed lunch to take with us.We first stopped at  a car boot sale that was on as we passed the buffalo farm then continued onto Betws y Coed. The plan was to go and see the Swallow falls as I have never seen them, I had my camera all ready batteries charged for the day.
By time we actually got there looked around the shops and had a coffee it was time for lunch, there are lots of benches available to sit on. As time was ticking away we had left it too late to go and see the both places so we decided on just going to Fairy Glen. We weren't too sure of the way but I had an idea, we finally arrived and my mother decided to stay in the car and wait for us as she didn't feel up to the walk. There is a small fee to pay for car parking and entrance just before the walk.

These you will find just as the walk begins.

We followed the path and came to two paths before us, one is a short walk the other is longer but you still come to the same spot.

The steps down to glen were very steep and small so we had to be careful.

The gorge is on the Conway river.

I couldn't decide between these two photos both give different colour effects

The top photo is higher up the gorge

It is a popular spot for tourists many people were there when we were some were even swimming in the river.

It is said that this is where Wuhelmina stitch waits to see the fairy men.
