Festival in the park at Rhyl - 18.8.2013

I had come across this event purely by chance as my family and I were in the tourist information in Rhyl. Despite the showers on the day we took a packed lunch and set out to find the venue. We were a little early so went for a walk amongst the many small stalls of crafts and "bric a brac". We even won some teddies in a tombola and not forgetting my favourite of home made cakes - which was a must for me to stop and buy.

This  beautiful hand crafted stall we came across and got chatting to the lady on the stall -Margaret.

Some dogs I presume ready for the competition

As for Bowls I wanted to capture a certain generation playing the game, that is why most are taken in sepia

The mini remote-control police car was cool and amused many of the small children; it even had its own siren

The showers didn't dent the brass band, it was lovely to hear them play

Undecided moment again for me as I like both images

This was a great suprise for me to see as I thought this renowned duo retired years ago. It was so nice to hear a new generation get involved in the show just as we did all that time ago.

I couldn't resist placing a guide link to the history of this tradition

There was an opportunity to go and have a close look at the helicopter, but because of the queues I didn't have chance to see that part. I was happy enough to take the images from afar. As per usual I have taken many images.

This day was was enjoyed by all of the family and great memories were made that day
