The Ice-cream Factory 19.6.2012

This particular day a family member wanted to visit the Candle Factory in Tattenhall Cheshire and we had all arrived there just as it opened. We had a look around for what they wanted which was hand decorated candles, but unfortunately they no longer made them. This was due to the fact that the one member of staff that made these had left. We then wandered to the cafe for a drink before we left and decided what we were going to do next as the day was still only young.

I had remembered that on a previous visit to Cheshire we had also visited the Ice-cream factory which we enjoyed, so this is were we made our next visit too. I had wanted to go and photograph the animals and also try another great flavoured ice - cream which is what the place is also notorious for.

I had not remembered the llamas there on a previous visit, so I was quite taken with them. I was fixated on their eyelashes. The image above I was pleased with, as the reflection of his environment and blue skies can be seen in his eye.

Patterns from what looked like their recent shearing, the barnet brings in character!

Lovely eyelashes

This one looks so cute and cuddly!

I like this profile of the pig

Sleepy pig

I wanted to get this close-up shot of his nose ring and water droplet on his snout.

A family member who had worked on farms for many years, hadn't come across a pig like this before  that had thick curly hair.

This day I had an obsession with eyelashes because I also fell in love with the calf's eyelashes.

This one took a while to capture as he kept moving around.

The calves were a real treat to see in the pen.

An image from days gone by

Another one of these breeds of pigs sharing the field with 2 " mini" ponies

Horse's hooves

A goat "chilling"

Although you cannot see it, this goat was half standing in the hay trough - eating away.

Time went by as we also had a look in the shop, so to finish off the visit I had a lemon meringue flavoured ice- cream. Refreshing mmm!
