I found Jonathan's work to be inspirational, life-like and almost 3D in appearance.

Jonathan is a Yorkshire born artist who now resides in Wrexham, North Wales, where he gained his degree in illustration. This gave him the foundation to work on but he considers his painting technique as self taught. He works primarily in oils and like many artists finds constant inspiration from the figure.

In 2008 he undertook a project aided by the Arts Council of Wales. A Journey which took him around Wales absorbing the culture and being inspired by the characters` he met .

He continues to concentrate on the figure and portraiture always striving to improve and develop a better technique. In addition he has recently turned his attention to stll life as another means to aid growth as an artist.
