Glyndwr "Light Show at Wrexham Museum 19.12.2013

I hadn't realised until further research that this event was in conjunction with  Glyndwr and was organised by students collaborating with Wrexham Museum. I was looking forward to viewing this event as the evening was covering visual history about the surrounding areas such as Brymbo and Wrexham Lager.

The way in which the visuals were introduced onto the front of the building, showed that it had been well thought out. This was apparent by how we were first introduced to the opening scene. The words "Wrexham Museum" came together very slowly with each letter of the alphabet forming the word.

I  liked the colour visuals of the map of Wales which had the Welsh dragon incorporated onto it. This had made me feel very patriotic.

I normally get motion sickness with images moving but was delighted at the way the images were slowly introduced as the view of the image above spun around.

The show was a well thought out and used new visual  technology to bring the past and the present together. It had a short narration accompanied with historical facts that explained how they shaped the Wrexham of today.

There was even the nice finishing touch - wishing everyone a "Happy Christmas"!

The link below shows a short film with the students at work on the show
