Thank you to LLangollen Camera Club for being such a friendly and enjoyable group
to be a part of.
I feel proud to be given the opportunity to represent the Club in the Fringe Festival for
the second year.
Thank you also to my support helper Mrs Janet Fletcher for taking time out of her busy
schedule to go and have a look at the Exhibition.
Aperture Camera Club
come and join us
LLangollen photographic club is attended by a small group of dedicated local photographers.
The group meets every 2nd Thursday in the month
7.30 pm - 9.30 pm
At the Rafa club,
Canalside Gardens,
LLangollen.
The other opportunity I had been given was to be interviewed for the Glyndwr website.
This gave me a chance to tell others about the support that I have been given so far in Glyndwr and to hopefully disperse some of other peoples concerns about joining the University, who may have some difficulties in some learning areas. As I do.
Below is the video which I featured in.
I also attended the screening of a Welsh Film.
Sun 24th July | Valle Crucis Abbey, Llangollen | 8.30pm
The land holds many secrets, and one boy will learn them all.
A special screening of HAWK the movie - filmed on location in Snowdonia and Llangollen, starring Welsh actors Robert Gwyn Davin and Philip Madoc and from the executive producers of 'The King's Speech'
When Rowan is taken away from the civilised world, his lessons in the wild begin. Yet when he shatters the balance of nature, Rowan discovers another world beneath our own. In that shadowy land of old gods and wild hunts, the divide between man and beast becomes uncertain and the fairy tales of childhood spring to life.
With only the guidance of a hunting hawk, Rowan must make amends for his crime, and choose between what is real, and what is not.
In addition to this we are extremely excited to announce that the location for this screening of HAWK will be within the walls of the awe inspiring VALLE CRUCIS ABBEY!
Hawk the movie, directed by Glyndwr University graduate Michael McMahon, as part of the Llangollen Fringe Festival.
The film, had its London premiere at the prestigious BAFTA building.
The team described the two week shooting period in Snowdonia for the 39 minute epic short film as torturous and particularly wet.
Director and Co-writer Michael McMahon, originally from Rhyl and Barmouth born brothers Alex McArdell (Co-writer) and Sean McArdell (Producer) are all said to be excited to be bringing Hawk back to Wales again.
( Please note that The Fringe Emblem at the top of the page and the review above is taken with thanks from, The LLangollen Fringe web site to give an accurate account of the films synopsis.)
With thanks to Stuart Edwards for positing a remainder on his face book page, which drew my attention to the viewing of the Hawk event.
